In Ealing, there are a number of various groups , workshops and activities available for parents and carers who would like some support with parenting or who simply want to learn new skills to help build positive family relationships.
The Ealing Parenting Service runs and organises many programmes throughout the year, free of charge for parents and carers living in Ealing. The courese and workshops provide the opportunity for parents and carers to share their experiences , learn from each other, and find out about strategies to build healthy and positive family relationships.
Parent Gym consists of six, two-hour sessions, packed with practical techniques to make family life easier and to help children thrive. All sessions are designed to be highly interactive and participative.
Parents/carers can attend fun, interactive sessions covering a different topic every session, focusing on learning various strategies such as establishing boundaries, building self-esteem and independence, developing effective communication, and supporting children to learn and explore.
The programme is aimed at parents and carers of children aged 2-11.
Sessions are held at children centres within the Ealing borough.
The Early Start SEND Inclusion Team run various workshops for parents and carers of children aged 0-5 with social communication needs.
The workshops provide parents and carers with the opportunity to learn new skills and gain practical strategies to support their child with toileting, sleeping, eating, as well as understanding sensory differences.

Family Lives have various parenting resources online such as parenting videos, courses and links to various organisations supporting with specific issues such as self harm, domestic violence, bereavement and pregnancy.
Family Lives also offers a confidential helpline service which is free from landlines and most mobiles (previously known as Parentline).

Bounce Forward is a charity promoting resilience in children and young people; supporting parents, teachers, professionals and practitioners to teach effective resilience exercises and strategies to young people. The target age group is aged 9+ (Year 6) through to high school.
The parents’ course is a series of six one-hour sessions with materials to use at home. Three date and time options are offered January to February 2021.
