Ealing's strategy for SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disability) and priorities

We had recently published Ealing’s Strategy for SEND Provision and Inclusion 2018-2022.

Two versions are available – the full report and a short summary

What is Ealing's Strategy for SEND Provision and Inclusion

These resources set out our medium to longer-term vision and strategy to leading and implementing change for children and young people with SEND; building on what we have achieved since the reforms were introduced.

This strategy has been approved by the multi-agency SEND Executive Board that was set up by the Council, the CCG (Clinical Commissioning Group) and our partners; to improve services and provision for children and young people with SEND.

We have placed needs of children, young people, parents and carers in the heart of the strategy; in direct response to their views communicated to us through surveys conducted in 2017 and early 2018.

We have set out our vision of what we wish to achieve and how we will achieve it. A key feature of strategy is a commitment to work in partnership with other agencies to achieve the high-quality provision to which Ealing’s children, young people and their families are entitled.

You can read about the strategy in the  full report or in the short summary, both available under useful reading.
