Volunteer Police Cadets

The Volunteer Police Cadets programme is open to young people between 14 and 19 years of age. Cadets come from all over the borough, from different backgrounds and take part in a wide range of activities. As a Police Cadet you: take part in risk-assessed police activities e.g. crime prevention initiatives, First Aid, fitness and self-defence training, opportunity to take part in the Duke of Edinburgh's Award scheme, assist at exciting events such as London Marathon and Trooping the Colour, make friend and develop valuable life-skills while helping your community.

There are two units in Ealing:

Wednesday evenings at Trailfinders Sports Club, Vallis Way, West Ealing, W13 0DD

Juniors are aged 10-13.

Seniors are 13-18.

Juniors meet from 6:00pm-7:30pm and our Seniors meet from 6:00pm-8:30pm in term time. We have events, operations, camping trips, competitions and visits etc going on in the half term holidays, Easter and Summer.

New recruits are expected to wear a long-sleeved white shirt, school/black trousers and black shoes until they have completed a Probationary period.

Junior cadets pay £60 or £5 per month.

Senior Cadets pay a fee of £120 per year to cover various running costs, insurance and activities. This can be made either in 1 payment or in monthly instalments (£10 per month). This can be waived on a case by case basis if there are financial concerns that would perhaps prevent a young person from joining.
