Healthy Home’s aim is to lower energy bills and make homes more energy efficient whilst also improving the health of residents. Vulnerable residents may qualify for a free home energy visit from a trained energy advisor who will assess living conditions and give personalised advice on how they can lower their energy usage. Small items such as LED light bulbs, radiator reflector foil and DIY draught proofing can also be provided to help reduce energy consumption. An advisor can also help with switching energy providers (gas and electric) as well as making appropriate referrals if they believe a resident may benefit from funding for insulation or heating improvements.
