Ealing Councils Repairs and Adaptations Service incorporating The Home Improvement Agency

Under the Housing Grants, Construction and Regeneration Act 1996, Ealing Council, has a statutory duty to provide Disabled Facilities Grants (DFGs) to applicants who qualify.

Grants are provided through government funding, and the primary aim of the DFG is to provide major aids and adaptations to vulnerable, elderly, and disabled residents, enabling them to live independent and safe in their own home.

DFG’s are arranged by The Repairs and Adaptations Service (RAS) incorporating The Home Improvement Agency (HIA) following a recommendation from Social Services Occupational Therapist Team. Only referrals deemed necessary and appropriate, and reasonable and practicable are accepted.
