Talking Teens Programme

Run by the Ealing Parenting Service, this programme is targeted at parents of children aged 11-19 years. The course aims to help parents:

  • increase their understanding of teenagers feelings and behaviour and deliver key strategies for maintaining and improving relationships. 
  • Developing thier understanding of teenage development and the influence of brain development on behaviour
  • Develop parents understanding of the importance of listening,verbal and non-verbal communication
  • Promote positive approaches to boundary setting and problem solving
  • Provide an opportunity for parents to share their experience with others.

Who can attend the programme? 

This programme is targeted at parents/carers of children/teenagers aged 11-19 years old. 

How many sessions are there?

There are six sessions in total, each running for 2.5 hours.  

How can I access the programme? 

You can speak to a professional working with you/your family such as a teacher, SENCO, family support worker etc.  

They can make a referral on your behalf by contacting Ealing Children's Integrated Response Service(ECIRS). If you prefer, you can contact the team directly to make a referral.
