The Freedom programme is a rolling programme, meaning women can join at any time. The programme is a self – awareness and educational programme for women who would like to find out more about domestic violence and abuse.
What does the programme cover?
The Freedom programme :
- Demonstrates how the range of tactics used by an abusive partners can cause the non-abusive partner to remain within the relationship.
- Shows how domestic abuse affects children and explores the impact on the family as a whole.
- Structures discussions to focus not only on aspects of abusive/controlling behaviour but also non abusive behaviour.
How many sessions are there?
There are 12 weekly sessions in total, each lasting 2 hours
How can I access the programme?
You can speak to a professional working with you/your family such as a teacher, SENCO, family support worker etc. They can make a referral on your behalf by contacting Ealing Children's Integrated Response Service(ECIRS). If you prefer, you can contact the team directly to make a referral.
