Vision Impaired Sports Hub

Metro Blind Sport have partnered with Goalball UK, Sportworks, Ealing Council and GLL to deliver multiple sport and physical activity opportunities for blind and partially sighted people.

Delivered at the brand-new Gunnersbury Park Sports Hub in West London, sessions will be FREE and taking place every week on a Sunday, 2pm till 4pm beginning from 11th July.

The project welcomes blind and partially sighted people of all ages and abilities from West London to engage in a variety of different sports. The sessions will include, football, tennis, goalball, cricket as well as many other activities throughout the year.

The ‘Seeing the benefit of exercise’ project will be 2-hour weekly session on a Sunday afternoon, led by qualified coaches in a covid secure environment.

The sports are all adapted specifically for blind and partially sighted people, using adapted equipment, and will rotate on a weekly basis to provide as much opportunity as possible for people to try new things.

  •  12th September – GOALBALL 
  • 19th September – TENNIS
  • 26th September – CRICKET
