Asian Family Counselling Service

Asian Family Counselling Service (AFCS)  provides individual, couple and family counselling to the Asian community in the UK in Hindi, Punjabi, Urdu and Gujarati.

We also see couples where one partner is Asian. Clients have a wide range of difficulties, including family and marital conflicts. Sometimes they find it hard to adapt to the Western Culture. Our Counsellors are professionally trained and receive regular supervision. They are able to offer caring, personal and confidential counselling in the client’s language with an awareness of their cultural and ethnic backgrounds.

At AFCS we have a long history of dealing with clients presenting with conditions such as anxiety, depression, panic attacks, postnatal depression, complex trauma, self-harm and suicidal tendencies.

We provide relationship counselling for issues affecting marriages and family life including , but not limited to:

  • Gambling, Drug and alcohol addictions
  • Bullying, harrasment and racial attacks
  • Arranged and forced marriage
  • Human trafficking and slavery
  • Refugees and Asylum Seekrs
  • Financial problems
  • Bereavement
