Research Opportunity - Can smart home technology be used to improve the safety and independence of autistic adults?

Researchers at the University of Portsmouth are collecting information on common issues in the home that concern autistic people or their care network. This is the first stage of a project that will lead to the development of smart technology that helps people live more independently.

Who can take part?

The study is looking for both autistic adults who are considering, or are currently, living independently and family/ carers of autistic adults who fit this criteria. They want to understand the many barriers that face autistic adults wanting to live independently.

What do I need to do?

Most volunteers will complete a questionnaire at home, some will be asked to take part in an interview which can be done in-person, online, by phone or instant messenger.
