Alarm network for older people and younger people with a chronic sickness or disability (including learning disabilities) and their carers. The alarm system operates from your own home using a special telephone unit. Emergency help is provided by pressing a button, either on a pendent worn around the neck or on a telephone unit. This will set off an alarm in a control centre, which is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Service can be used if you: have fallen and cannot get up, cannot move due to sudden illness, require urgent medical attention, need to urgently contact the emergency services, suspect you have a bogus caller or just need reassurance at any time.
